Two bif? sleeping on a floor; Some calves behind a date, Clucks cutlug from a pluti , . And a naughiy pony kicking at a door. The pheasants [lew away, They had both stay'il out to play I know, because 1 heard their mother culling: And the throstle on the pales, Was practising his scales, Hut pussy-oat was only caterwauling. The rat was in a rick, And he hurrieil otf slick—quick! I really only saw his lous, lons tall; The two grouTil at mo, I'hinklng I should frightened bo, The calves they juniiiecl aud overtipped a pail. The little turkey chi.-ks. Were up ti> naughty tricks, < One was standing right upon his dinner table; While the old bad-tempered pony, Whose back looked rather bony. Was led away ami tied up in his stable.
