Allum presiding, lit was reported that the arrangements \ for the winter exhibition were well in I hand, and that the secretary had just j i issued the space plans. The exhibition j would lie held in the Prince's wharf | sheds, and the Automobile Association, whose exhibition would be held the previous week, had agreed to co-operate in the industrial display. i The chairman said that r>ooo feet of 1 space had been booked at the Uunedin I Exhibition, and arrangements were in ihand to pet the money for that. The meeting generally agreed that if the project were undertaken it J should be a train for the whole of the I North Island, and the secretary was j I instructed to approach likely prospective I I exhibitors, with a view to definite action I being taken, in conjuction with the J Wellington association,' immediately after the winter exhibition. In reply to a question, the chairman nated that the proposal was that the Railway Department supplied 'the' [exhibition vans in the shape of carriaces] I without the usual seat and rack fittings, i land that exhibitors themselves fitted up i I the van= for exhibition purposes on an' I agreed plan.
