Ernest Edward Cuthbertson Maxey (44|, pleaded guilty to being drunk in Queen .Street, yesterday, and to another charge of procuring iiquor while prohibited. Senior Sergeant Edwards said that this was Maxey's fourth breach of his prohibition order and his fourth offence tor drunkenness within the statutory period of six months. FURTHER REMANDED. A native of Malta named Marie Cavishee (24), again appeared charged with deserting from the steamer Silksworth. A representative of the shipping com pany roncerned stated that .Cavishee wa; not allowed to enter Canada or remair in New Zealand.
