SEVERED BONDS.
ELDERLY COUPLE'S TRIALS. An undefended petition for a divorca was presented to Mr. Justice Reed in the Supreme Court this morning by Emma Martin (Mr. Matthews), an elderly woman, who married John Connell Martin, also advanced in years, in August, 1913. She had previously been married, and had nine children of that union. There were no children of the second marriage. Petitioner told the Court that after the second marriage, at Matakohe, Bhe was not happy, and there were repeated separations. « waa eleven years since she had co-habited with respondent. Turning to the papers, his Honor remarked that it appeared thart some three years ago petitioner, owing to certain domestic circumstances, had gone to live in the house, but it did not mean that she co-habited with respondent. A decree nisi would be granted.
