The question of the best method of equipping coastal steamerß with wireless apparatus is to be considered at an inquiry to be conducted by the Marine JJepartinent to-morrow, in the Native Land Oflice, Government Buildings. The secretary of the Marine Department, Mr. <;. C. Godfrey, will preside, and associated with him will be Captain (1. Hooper, also of the Marine Department. The inquiry is to be another step towards supplying the need for adequate radio equipment on coastal steamers, which was emphasised when the Ripple was lost off Cape l'lilliser.
