FINANCIAL CRISIS.
THE STINNES COLLAPSE. BERLIN, June 7. The Berlin Bourse is depressed owing to the fear that the fate of the Stinnes concern, which is splitting up, is the forerunner of similar trouble. The big banks, with the co-operation the Reichs Bank, are coming to the rescue of the Stinnes Trust with 40.000,000 marks to prevent the complete collapse of the organisation. The latter's financial crisis is alleged to have been due to the trust taking up too many short-term credits, which it could not meet upon maturity.—(A. and X.Z.)
