DROWNING TRAGEDY.
MOTHER AND HER CHILD. ■SYDNEY, May 27. A sad tragedy is reported from Gladesvilli, , seven miles west of Sydney. The four year-old son of Mrs. Holland fell into the water in an -abandoned quarry. The mother was informed, and rushed from her home and jumped into the water in order to rescue her child. Help was soon available, but in the meantime both the mother and the little boy had sunk. When their bodies were recovered life was extinct. —A. and X.Z.
