THE PEOPLE'S MEAT.
ANGLO-DUTCH COMPANY. THE COMPETITIVE ASPECT. (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON", .May 3. The directors of the English-Dutch Meat Company, referring to tlie sharp fall in the company's shares and debentures, explain that tlie conflict among leading interests iv the meat trade has caused such a rise in Argentine cattle that it is impossible to ship Argentine meat to Europe without considerable loss. The company was not participating in the conflict, and was reducing its shipments to a minimum, but would resume as soon as conditions were normal, which could not be long delayed. --("Sun.")
