AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB.

THE AUTUMN MEETING. NELSON FAME WINS CORNWALL. MASTER COUNCILLOR THE MARCOXI. The first day of tbe autumn meeting of the Auckland Trotting Club was held on Saturday. The weather was dull but fine, except for a shower after the fourth race. There wits a good attendance, and tbe track was in good order. A Good Drvidend. All those carded for the Cornwall Handicap went to tbe post. Double Event, belonging to A. Fleming; was made a very warm favourite, carrying over £530 more than Florrie Bingen with Hue Coronado most fancied of the others. The colours of Bronze Patch were the first to become prominent. and he led past tbe stands from Nelson Fame. Florrie Bingen, Hnc Coronado and Double Event. There was no change till tbe top was reached, where Kelson Fame took command from Florrie Bingen, Hue Coronado and Double Event. Florrie Bingen, however, was first to turn for home from Kelson Fame, Hue Coronado and Double Event. The leader commenced to tire in tlie straight aud Kelson Fame got itp to beat her by a bead witli Double Event three-quarters of a length away, third. Hue Coronado, First Carbine, Xita Bell. Goldman and Comedy Chief were next. Tbe winner paid a good double figure dividend. It appears that Florrie Bingen's sulky received a bump during the race and one of the wheels was considerably damaged. In the circumstances she did well to get second place.

A Surprise. YVhetu was about f.'iUO better backed than Heather Girl for the Hobson Handicap with Syringa next best fancied. Anizoram was soon in front and going past the stand was followed by YVhetu. Darkuite, Grey Peter, Heather Girl, .Syringa, Childc Audubon and Reliance. When they came round again Reliance was in charge from Anizoram. YVhetu. Heather Girl, Syringa and Darknite. Reliance held bis position along tbe back from Heather Girl. Syringa, YVhetu and King Lear. Practically in this order they turned for home. Reliance going on to win by two lengths from Heather Girl which beat King Lear by a length. Syringa. Temple, YVhetu and Grey Peter were next. The winner returned over a score. Sose Bingen Wins Well. Rose Bingen started about £200 better favourite than Aerial Bingen for the Stewards' Trot' Handicap. Pete Peter and Al Mack being next iv request. Roi Alto was the early leader, and passing the stand was attended by Lady Nail, Tlie Tartar, Wiinmera King, Normica Heir (which had broken entering tlie straight when second). King Capitalist, Rose Bingen and Al Mack. When they came round again Lady Nan had assumed command from The Tartar, Roi Alto, Winuncra King, Rose Bingen, Pete Peter and Al Mack. Lady Xan broke going along the back, and" Rose Bingen was soon in the front, with Roi Alto, Pyramus, Pete Peter and Wimmera King next. In this order they turned for home, Rose Bingen winning comfortably by three lengths from Roi Alto, which beat Al Mack by a length and a-half. Pete Peter, King Capitalist, and The Tartar were next.

The Concluding Event. Rock Hinton and Syringa were the only for the Marconi Handi cap, with wh.ia.li the programme concluded. Brendo'was ma.de about £50 better favouritej.than Buz Buz, while Haricot and Kelson MacCormack also received .Mir support."" At the start YY. Orange, .the Brendo, was thrown out of his .sulky. Buz Buz wns fjrst to show out frorfi- and .v.hen the stand was reached Kelson MaeOormaek had taken charge fropi Buz Buz, Kelson Taskfr, Master '.Councillor" Lonl Minto and Haricot. Xefson MacCormack waa first to turn for; home, but Master Councillor sjoon headed him. and a good finish saw Master Councillor win by a neck. Kelson Derby wns a length away thirjl. with Haricot, Lord Minto, Buz Buz and Nelson Tasker next. The Totalisat.or..
