CAR OVER A BANK.
! . ' OCCUPANT'S NARROW ESCAPE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) f TAIHAPE, Tuesday. A new Chevrolet car. owned by Mr. Hill, of Omatane. of which he was the only occupant at the time, went over the bank near the papa face on the Omatane Gorge Road on Saturday afternoon. The car was very badly damaged, but Mr. Hill managed to escape without injury, though he had a very narrow escape from sustaining serious injuries. THREE CARS COLLIDE. TWO OCCUPANTS INJURED. (By Teiesrraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. Tuesday. Three motor ears were concerned in an accident on the Papanui Road this afternoon at the intersection of Heafiii Street. M was a three-water drive., by a li.ly. I ts running boards were completely wrecked both back wheels shattered and the left front wheel and hood broken. The body of the car a.so was badly damaged. \ five-seater car also ~ii.u-rt.u (on V-rabiv Its right front wheel was shattered and the- hood wnt. The third car bad its hood and radiator considera'nlv damaged. . The three ears finished up alter the accident in a side-channel, being practically locked together. Two ot the occupants were injured, bur not seriously.
