SLAVES OF THE RING. j SAYING IT WITH DIAMONDS. (■Received 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, April 14. A diamond ring valued at £200, wliicl was stolen from the Majestic Theatre a Adelaide (South Australia) on Novem . ber 15, figured at Bow Street, when th' music hall performer, Harry Lamba, wa charged' with the unlawful possession o B ring belonging to Bessie Clifford. The prosecution stated that Lamb: went to Miss Clifford's dressing room t< congratulate her on her escape from : railway accident. Miss Clifford late missed the ring. The police wer informed, but no action was taken until jby a curious coincidence, Miss Cliffori learnt that Miss Annie Cohen hai received the missing ring from Lamb; upon her engagement. Lamba stated that be bought the riiij for £225 after he had won £250 from ; bookmaker. Lamba was released on : 'bail of £50.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
