FIFTY OTHERS INJURED. TRAIN SMASH IN MADRID. . FATAL HOLIDAY EXCURSION. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received 11.80 a.m.) MADRID, April 10. An electric train packed with holiday excursionists was derailed in the Sarria district owing to the failure of the brakes. Eighteen were killed and fifty injured. The disaster occurred at seven in the morning. The carriages caught fire after leaving the rails. The dead include four women and three children.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
