A VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND, j LONDON, April 10. Dr. W. A. Chappie is a passenger by the Orama en route for New Zealand. — (A. and N.Z. Cable.) Dr. Chappie was defeated in the last general election for the Dumfrios seat in the House of Commons by BrigadierGeneral Charteris. He was member for Stirlingshire from .1010 to 1018, and was re-elected in 1023. He had been M.P. for Tuapeka, N.Z., for five months in 100 S. Dr. Chappie is the author of "The Fertility of the Unfit," and other works on medical subjects and education.
