MR. W. DOWNIE STEWART.
TREATMENT IN AMERICA. NEW YORK, April 8. The New Zealand Minister of Customs (Hon. W. Downie Stewart) has arrived in New York, accompanied by his sister and his private secretary. Mi - . Stewart •will undergo a course of treatment at the hands of Dr. Burbank, a specialist in rheumatoid arthritis. The course is expected to last for two months. •Mr. Stewart expects to return to the Dominion via Canada, and he hopes to sail for New Zealand on June 3. In the meantime he will obtain the utmost possible rest and quiet.— (A. and N.Z.)
