The lack of shelter on the Bayswater wharf has been the subject of frequent complaints from residents, and the question of providing overhead covering has frequently been raised. At a meeting of the Takaptina Borough Council last evening a member stated that ho understood that the Auckland Harbour Board would undertake the cost of erecting the shelter provided the Ferry Company under took the responsibility for the interest upon the expenditure. It was resolved to apply to the company concerning their part in the undertaking
A man named Gerald M. Cottier employed on the switchboard at the electric power station, Wanganui was severely burned. How the accident occurred it is not yet known, but the lights went out suddenly. It is understood that he is 1 a senous condition at the hospital to which he was conveyed. - '
