Mr. J. B. Teasdale was a passenger for Sydney by the Marama yesterday. Major 0. Meade, 'who has been staying at the Grand Hotel, left for Rotorua this morning. Mr. H. D. Aeland has been appointed Acting-Consul for Denmark at Christchurch. Captain W. H. Cottrell (London) and A. G. Bignell (Wanganui) are at the Grand Hotel. Mr. W. R. Fee, of the legal firm of Johnston, Coates, and Fee, left for England, via Australia, by the Marama last night, and will he away for 12 months. Mr. and Mrs. T. Chapman, the parents of Mr. A. P. F. Chapman, the English cricketer, left for Sydney by the Marama yesterday. Mr. A. Stubbs, who has retired on superannuation from the position of railways traffic manager at Whangarei, arrived in Auckland yesterday. He intends to live here. Dr. A. C. McKillop, medical superintendent of Seacliff Mental Hospital, has been transferred to Porirua. His place at Seacliff will be taken by Dr. Jeffreys. Mr. Charles R. Towle, A.R.1.8.A.. who has been away from Auckland for five years, is returning by the Maheno next week. During his absence Mr. Towle has been in Great Britain and India. Staying at the Star Hotel, Auckland, are Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Denis (Palmerston North), Mr. E. R. Toop (Wellington), Mr. P. Gleeson (Gisborne), Mr. T. I Burke (Sydney), and Mr. C. J. Horsley| (Sydney).
