A. Pearce, farmer, of Riccarton. for failure to destroy TabMts on. Ms property at Ashley Downs. After an absence of an hour and ahalf, during which time an inspection was made of the property for signs ot the übiquitous bunny, the magistrate gave his decision. In doing so, he referred in no uncertain manner to defendant's statements in the witness box as being an attempt to hoodwink Mm. He fined him £20 and costs -If.
