WHANGAREI HOTELS.

WHAKGAREI, this day.
At a meeting , of the Licensing Committee to-day it was reported by a member of the committee that all was in order at the Cumberland Hotel, but the fire escapes at the Waiwera Hotel were unsatisfactory.
The chairman stated that the license for the Cumberland Hotel would be renewed and that the granting of that at Waiwera would be held over for reconsideration at the annual meeting.
The condition of the other hotels in the district was the subject of favourable report.
