OX XORTHCOTK REGATTA PROORAMME. The postponement of all side slioiv aquatic events in connection with i to-morrow's Northcote and Birkenhead regatta, whs proposed by Messrs. A. I Clare and A. W. Millar at a largely- | attended meeting of the committee la*t evening. Mr. A. V. Tyer pre.-irled. Jt was pointed out that this section of the programme, catered for the juveniles, among whom it aroused considerable interest, and enthusiasm. The secretary, 1 Mr. Noel J. Campbell, mentioned that I under the Health Department's regulation children under 10 were liable to arrest, and also their parents, it' the former wont aboard the flagship or the pontoon at the Northcote wharf.
Eventually it xvas decided, on the motion of Messrs. H. McLaughlin and Jesse Reed, to delete all the competitions fur children under It',, and to post nntices forbidding them on board the iSparroxvhnxvk or pontoon, and to secure police assistance to enforre observance. of this prohibition. Otherwise the full program mc of yacht races and side shoxvs is to he held.
The Birkenhead Municipal Band xvill play selections during the afternoon.
