TWO FORGERS PLEAD.
ADMISSIONS OF GUILT. REMANDED FOR SENTKNCK. Two prisoners, George Thomas Nelson and Charles Henry 'Jlover, who were to have stood trial at the current criminal session of the Supreme Court, pleaded guilty. They were remanded for sentence. The charges against Nelson were in respect of failure to account for the sum of £<>2 to Frederick Maurice Budd, the forging of a receipt for £1 18, pur- ■ porting to be signed by Mayhill and Sexton, and having caused Budd to act upon the receipt as if it were genuine. Glover's plea was an admission that on November 28, at Takapuna, ho bad forged a cheque for £6 10/ purporting to be signed by W. H. Canning, had acted upon it as if it were genuine, and by this means had obtained from \Vm. F. Morris, goods to the value of £1 17/, and the sum of £3 13/ in money.
Mr. Sullivan represented both pri soners.
