Mcl.eotl, I received a deputation from the I.eani- | inglon Town Hoard and Cambtidge ; ( hambcr of Commerce, and also the I inspector of noxious weeds for the '. Leamington Town Hoard, with regard to Mho possibility of having the Noxious ' Meeds Act amended in ils application to the clearance of noxious weeds on ! absentee holder's lands. The deputation j was desirous of having legislation I brought down enabling local bodies to I make a charge upon such lands and rid ! the same of noxious weeds. ! The Minister thought the suggestion •n good and fair one. He promised to j bring Ihe mailer before bis colleagues jat the earliest opportunity.
