RACING PERMITS.
PREFERENCE TO COUNTRY. NEED FOR RESHUFFLING. (By Telegraph. — Association.) KELSON", this day. The Hon. R. F. Bollard arrived from the West Coast yesterday afternoon, and in the evening was accorded an official welcome by the Mayor. Later he received a deputation from the Jockey and Trotting Clubs requesting that two extra days be granted to the former and one to the latter. Mr. Atmore, M.P., introduced the deputation. The Mnis- :- ter replied that equal consideration would be given to Ne'son as to other places. He believed that the House of Representatives intended the additional permits for country clubs, and he intended to place them there. He also considered there should be a reshuffling of existing permits, and intended to go into the question sec that, country clubs got a fair share.
