FUNERAL OF MR. RANSON.

SERVICE AT ST. .MARK'S. A huge number of friends of the late Mr. Charles Hanson, former manager of the Northern Steamship Company, attended the funeral this afternoon. The cortege left the residence in Bassett Load. Remuera, and proceeded to St. Mark's Church, of which Mr. Ranson was people's warden for about lo years. He also at one time served as a member of the old Remuera Road Board.
