FUNERAL OF MR. RANSON.
SERVICE AT ST. .MARK'S. A huge number of friends of the late Mr. Charles Hanson, former manager of the Northern Steamship Company, attended the funeral this afternoon. The cortege left the residence in Bassett Load. Remuera, and proceeded to St. Mark's Church, of which Mr. Ranson was people's warden for about lo years. He also at one time served as a member of the old Remuera Road Board. A funeral service was held in the church, which was attended by representatives from the Northern anrl oth"r shipping companies, the Auckland Racing Club, \»rioos boating and other clubs with which deceased hnd been connected.
