PLUNKET SHIELD MATCH
CANTERBURY V. AUCKLAND. HOME TEAM'S SECOND INNINGS. WICKETS FALL FAST, (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHBISTCHURCH, this day. The Plunket Shield cricket match, Auckland v. Canterbury, was continued to-day in dull weather. Blunt and Oliver resumed batting for Canterbury. With his fourth Allcott scattered Blunts wicket before the later had added to his Saturday score. Oliver placed the first ball from Smith into Allcott's hands without increasing his score. Hayes followed Blunt, and was joined by Patrick, the former being clean bowled by Allcott after making a dozen. The century appeared for two hours and fifteen minutes' play. Sandman followed Hayes, but stayed only long enough to make four, being bowled by Allcott. Boon followed Sandman, and there was a cessation of play for ten minutes owing to rain.
