Maknra, due Auckland on sth January {English and American mall). NEW TEAR HOLIDAYS, 1924-25. The following arrangements will be observed in the Chief Post Office, Auckland, during the New Year holidays:— WEDNESDAY, 31st DECEMBER.—An afternoon delivery will be made by postmen. An over-counter delivery of town letters (registered as well as ordinary) will he made in the Postmen's Branch, First Floor, between 7 an* S p.m. THURSDAY, THE Ist JANUARY (NEW YEAR'S DAY") will be observed as a close holiday. There will be no delivery by postmen. All malls will close at 4 a.m., with the exception of those for dispatch by the Waikato Express and the Main Trunk express, which will close at 8.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. respectively. Late-fee letters for Southern Offices may be posted in the latefec box at the entrance to the Railway Station up to ten minutes before departure of trains.
