(.tut <>i the twenty-two yachts, keel and centreboard, that started in the cruising rate to T\ii«scll on Wednesday evening last none have yet reached Rumsell. Word from Tutakaka, which is approximately SO miles from Auckland. as against the 12U miles between Auckland and Russell, says that two of the big yachts reached there last night. The lirst to arrive was the Heartsease, which came in at 10h 17m 40s, and the next to show up was the yawl Tlex. which arrived at llh 19m 30s. The Xgahu and the Waiterc are in Whangamumu. the bay %?t south of the Bay of Islands, and the vest of the boats are said to be sheltering at Whangarei. When the boats left Auckland the breeze was light from the south-west, but later came in from the north-east, and apparently it has been too much for the. smaller boat".
