A WATERSPOUT.
VIEWED FROM WELLINGTON. (fly Telejrrnpu. —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A large waterspout was seen travelling across the southern portion of Wellington about ;i o'Hock yesterday. It appeared to be over Xewtown Park when ! first observed, but was probably out to : sea. It moved in the direction of L'encarrow Head, where it was lost to view at .") o'clock. A similar black column wrs seen in tlie vicinity of Island Bay. It travelled south, across the water, and then collujiSfd, the upper portion falling like • F heavy rain shower. ,
