The annual game between King - s and 3lt. Albert Grammar School was productive of good cricket, the Grammar eleven bein;"victorious by four w:cket=. ]n the home side - * first innings. Simpsnn and Major were the only two to play with any degree of confidence. The former played nice shots and obtained his runs iri quick time until he mishit one from Wilson. Major took his time but bat-.ed very soundly. Butler bowled very- well for jit. Albert though he did not'have much luck. Monk's fast stuff whipped in well and he wa; always difficult. King's were dismissed for 10,. Mt. Albert's first innings realised 144. but only two men 20t runs. Butler and Butler's (W was a fine effort. trhile Barnes compiled 23 before a beauty from Simpson found his off Btump. Simpson's bowling was Epleniiid. and no risks could be taken with him. In their second venture King's again failed to collar the bowlins. and were dismissed for 90, Malor and Phelan fretting most of the run's. Monk and Butler" a:ain bowled well, being assisted by Barnes. Mt. Albert were left with 54 to get. and on the second day lost six wickets in getting the required runs. Botii Simpson and Kisslins bowled well, but lit. Albert's batting wa- of the scratchy order and they scraped about for runin unconvincing style. Monk played confidently and carried his bat at the end of the game. His was the visitor-' best innings. The rieldinj of Kini'tvas very good and every run was contested. Auckland Grammar deserve hearty congratulations for having annexed the Heathcote William?
