LASSO GAS-TAP DEATH.
A verdict of death from misadventure was returned at Southport on Jack Scholfield, 16, a chemisfa apprentice, of Marsiiside Road, Southport, who died from the effpctß of coal gaa poisoning. The father stated that his son had been amusing himself by using a piece of string us a lasso. The next morning, as the lad did not get up he went to call him i and found the room full of gas. His Bon waR lying on the bed unconscious. Ue could only conclude that the boy had been using the lasso In the bedroom and had accidentally turned on the gas tap.
