Herbert Thorn, son of Mr. D. Thorn, died suddenly at Opouriao on Tuesday evening. He had complained of illness at milking time, and lay down in the engine room. Three minutes later hie assistant found him dead. He was a returned soldier, and leaves a wife and young child, his wife being the daughter of Mr. G. Ball, a well-known settler of Taneatua.
