UNEMPLOYED INSURANCE.
HIGH COST IN QUEENSLAND. BRISBANE, December 25. A report concerning the operations of the Unemployed Workers' Insurance Act states that 4000 workers, are registered with the labour bureaux throughout the .State a-s unemployed. Of these 2453 are in receipt of unemployment sustenance, and the remainder are not yet eligible. The total amount paid by the fund from September 14 lo December 13, 1924, was £210,488.—(A. and N.Z.) •
