U.S. REGRETS DEPARTURE.

NEW YORK, October 22.

Mr. Donald MacKinnon, Australian Commissioner in the United States, who resigned to return this week to Australia to re-enter politics, is succeeded by Mr. J. A. M. Elder, an Australian business man, who was recently connected with the Australian exhibit at Wembley. ' •.
