LABOUR COURTS LIBERALS.

PREMIER AT SHEFFIELD. (By Cable.—Pres* Association.—Copyright.) (Beceived 10.30 a.m.) LOXDOX, October 21. An appeal'for Liberal support and a vigorous attack on the Conservatives, were made by Mr. Ramsay Mac Donald in a speech at the Hippodrome, Sheffield, where lie was enthusiastically received by an audience of over 4000. Many others were unable to gain admission. Queues formed outside at six o'clock in the morning. The Premier declared that the campaign was to him like a whiff of victory, but there was a grim struggle ahead next week. Their opponents would not leave any stone unturned to damage Labour, because it had been too successful in caring for the interests of the country at home and abroad. If there was any danger from extremism in Britain, it would come when an incompetent Tory Government was in office. The Premier, appealing for Liberal support, claimed that Labour had the Liberal spirit, widened, broadened and heightened. —(Reuter.)
