Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd., report:— Our catalogue to-day consisted of 2000 sheepskins and 950 hides, which we submitted, to a large attendance of buyerß. Dry sheepskins elicited the keenest competition, nnd showed au advance on last sale's figures j- while salted lots, for which extreme rates had been lately paid, declined Bomcwhat. Heavy ox hides were in good demand at an advance of about *d, and light to medium ox sold at par to a slight , advance,on- last sale. Cow hides also showed an advance of about id to Jd, and ' calf sold at about par. Total imports into the United Kingrom for September, 1024, were 431,000 cwt; for September, 1023, 330.000 cwt.
