■ ■■ —, » ■ - ~. — SURCHARGE BY AUDITOR. QUESTION FOR APPEAL COURT. (By Telegraph. -Press Association.! WELLINGTON, this day. The Court considered an originating summons moved into it to determine whether or not the Auditor-General had rightly surcharged certain sums expended by Victoria College Council for the purpose of erecting or subsidising the erection of a war memorial in the library at the college in the form of a stained glass window and brass tablets on which were inscribed the names of students who had served in the war. Mr. C. P. Skerrett and Mr. Johnston appeared for the Victoria College Council, and Mr. A. Fair for the Auditor-General. The Court reserved its decision.
