OBITUARY.
__» ■ . MR. W. H. LEECE. The funeral of the late Mr. W. H. Leece took' place yesterday at Waikumete, and was attended by representatives of the Auckland Law Society, and the staff of the Supreme Court. Mr. Leece has for some years ably filled the position of Supreme Court librarian and secretary to the Law Society. Prior to taking up those duties he was a member of the firm of Warner and Leece, law writers and engrosser. During the war, Mr. Leece was secretary to a Military Seryice Board. His death was very Sudden as Mr. Leece was at work on Friday. He became ill on Saturday, and died at his residence, Herbert Road, Mount Eden. MR. A. S. TROWER. Deep regret will be felt by the many friends of~Mr. Arthur Seymour Trower, whose death took place yesterday at the hos-pital. Educated in England lie left Sandhurst to join the 9th Lancers, and served with his regiment in South Africa and India. About seventeen years ago he came out to New Zealand. For some time he was ensraged in sharebroking in Wellington. Subsequently he came to the Auckland province, and after living for some time at Putaruru he came to this city where he made a large number of friends, and in his capacity of secretary to the Immigration and Land Settlement League did enthusiastic and excellent work. He leaves a wife *ad five children.
