PROPOSED LOAN OF £12.000 FOR WATERWORKS IMPROVEMENTS. The Mayor, Councillors and Burgesses of the Borough of Otahuhu hereby give notice, in pursuance of Section 0 of the abovementioned Act — (1) That the purposes for which the Loan, is required are: (a) The sum of £0400 for the purchase of Mannesman Steel or Cast Iron Pipes, and for the work of laying and connecting the same, to replace the existing defective water mains In Great South Road. Station Road. Walmsley Road, and Mangere Road; (b) The sum of £2600 for the purchase aud Installation of Candy Dechlorination Filters in connection with the borough water supply. (2) That the Otahuhu Borough Council being unable to provide the necessary funds for such works out of the ordinary revenue of the borough, proposes to raise a Special Loan of not exceeding £12,000. (3) That the proposed security for tha repayment of such loan shall be an annually recurring Special Rate of fiftcen-sixtenths (15-lCths) of a penny in the pound on the ratable value of all ratable property in the Borough of Otahuhu. (4) That the Otahuhu Borough Council proposes to make such loan repayable in 361 years, nnd.to make provision for the payment of a sinking fund ot not • less than oue per centum pei annum.
