CONTROL OF A BANK.
EMPLOYEES TO RULE. NEW YORK, October 17. The board of directors of the Bank of Italy, at San Francisco, an institution with a capital of 350,000,000d01, has approved a scheme under which its 2200 employees with take over the control of the hank from January 1. The scheme ■ provides for the active employees obtainI ing a controlling block of stock, and for a change of officers and directors at least every five years to allow of promotions.— (Reuter.)
