HIGH PRICE FOR NEW ZEALAND LONDON, O&tober 17. Renewed German 'buying if Danish, Latvian, Esthonian, Siberian, American and Canadian butters has caused a general hardening. Danish is quoted at 250/. New Zealand choicest is quoted at •226/ to 228/, and exceptionally good lots have reached 230/. Australian realised 210/ to 212/, and exceptionally good fetched 214/. Australian unsalted is quoted at 220/ to 224/, Siberian at 164/ to 176/, and exceptionally good Siberian at 180/. Cheese is quiet. New Zealand coloured is quoted at 93/, and white at 94/. Australian stocks have been cleared.— (A. and N.Z. Cable.) Last week's report stated: On the butter market Danish is rather easier at 232/. Colonial is firm. New Zealand choicest is quoted at 220/ to 222/, and exceptionally choice at 224/. Australian is quoted at 204/ to 206/, unsalted at 212/ to 220/, Silberian at 160/ to 176/. Cheese is firm. New Zealand coloured is quoted at 94/, white at 95/. Australian coloured is quoted at 91/ to 92/.
