Above is a photograph of the Vickers - "Vulture" amphibian flying boat on which Messrs. George B. Bolt (pilot), H. A. Brockett (navigator), and H. J. Wilson (observer and organiser), hope to make the flight across the Tasman between Sydney and Auckland, a distance of 1100 miles, early next year. The "Vulture" is fitted with a 450 h.p. Napier "Lion" engine, and has a range of 1800 miles. It contains tfie very latest inventions for navigation purposes, and in addition is fitted with the Reid control indicator, directional wireless, and Marconi wireless.
