Above ii a photograph of the Vickero- "Vulture" amphibian flying boat on which Messrs. George B. Bolt (pilot), H. A. Brockett (navigator), and H. J. Wilson (observer and organucr), hope to make the Bight across the Tasman between Sydney and Auckland, a distance of 1100 miles, early next year. The "Vulture" is fitted with a 450 h.p. Napier "Lion" engine, and has a range of 1800 miles. It contains the very latest inventions for navigation purposes, and in addition is fitted with the Reid control indicator, directional wireless, and Marconi wireless.
