THE AUCKLAND CLUB. The Auckland Racing Pigeon Club held « rate from Taumarunui on Saturday ' n showery weather. This race is always well patronised, as it is only 145 miles from Auckland. As the birds have to fly over Cook Straits, the race will be a real test of endurarce. . PREMIER HOMING CLUB. The Premier Homing Tigcon Club on Saturday held a successful race from Miintervllle, an approximate distance of li2o miles. The birds were sent on their lengthy journey at S a.m., and the first bird, Messrs. Watson and Hutton's Good-bye, homed at 1.1.1. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster in fine weather, bat they undoubtedly struck had weather when homeward bound. Following are the first six positions:— Messrs. PONSONBY CLUB. The Ponsonbv Flying Club flew their race on Saturday from Palincrston North, an airline distance of 24S miles, under very favourable conditions.
