STOPPING A RUNAWAY.
MAN FATA_-_T INJ-TRED. DIES IN HOSPITAL. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. Frederick Atkin, aged 52. who wa. admitted to the Waikato Hospital on September 22 suffering from internal injuries caused by being run over by a cart, died this morning. Deceased endeavoured to seize the reins of a horse which was wandering away, when hi. long coat flopped against the horse's leg and excited the animal, which broke into a -Hop. Atkin was knocked down, and a wheel passed over his body Deceased had been suffering from a rupture prior to the accident.
