CHINESE TEAM'S RETURN. PROFIT OF £1000. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. Me-ibers of the council of the New Zealand Football Association tendered a farewell dinner to the Chinese team In Wellington this evening. The manager. Mr. A. Dome, and each member of the team was presented with a New Zealand rug as a momento of the tour, and an additional rug .was presented to take to Dr. Gray In reeognitiuu of his services In organising the team in China. Congratulatory speeches followed. It was agreed that the tour had done much good In promoting the Assoclutlou game throughout the Dominion. It is slated that Chang, yyho is in tho Christchurch Hospital, shows improvement. Wang will remuin uutil Chang has recovered. The team yvas entertained at a cabaret dance. They sail to-morrow hv tbe Munaka for Sydney. . The profit from the tour amounts to about _1000.
