BOTTLE GATHERER'S CLAIM.
AWARDED £40 DAMAGES. In the action brought by Sam Goldberg (Mr. Budd), a bottle gatherer, against J. Mercer (Mr. Dickson), mechanic, in which plaintiff claimed £100 damages for injuries received through being knocked down by a motor car dn'ven by defendant, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., after viewing the scene of the accident, gave judgment for plaintiff for £40 and costs. Uis worship said that defendant must have cut the corner of Eden Terrace and Bright Street a little fine. It was a charitable action on the part of defendant to take plaintiff to a doctor and afterwards to the hospital.
