ONEHUNGA WHARF PROGRESS.
About a quarter of the piles for the new reinforced wharf at Onelmnga hare been (driven, reported the engineer (Mr. W. H. Hiimer) to the Harbour Board this afternoon. Ten per cent of the deck area is completed, and 17 per cent ] of the old wharf demolished. The first j section of the new wharf, and the east- ' era end of the old timber wharf, were j thrown open for' rail traffic and ship- I ping on September 1, and pile-driving ! for.tlie second section was begun on/ the second.
