The first round of the ladies' championship was played last week on the Otahuhu links. Miss Whttely won from Miss Suttie, 2 up; Mrs. Mann won from Mrs. Heather, 8 up; Miss Cutforth won from Miss G. Whyte, 4 up; Miss Nixon won from Mrs Collins, 5 up. A flag match was played on Saturday, the winner being Miss Wallace.
