THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL.
FAREWELL TO WANGANUI. (By Telejrapii.— Own correspondent.) WANG-ANUI, this day. In connection with the Vice-Regal party's visit this morning, Mr. W. R. Tuck handed over the deeds of the Plunket Society rooms, purchased by him and given to the society as a gift ' from him, to Lady Jellicoe, who in turn presented them to the society. Her Excellency also unveiled a brass tablet ' and presented a number of St. John Ambulance certificates. Lord Jellicoe was entertained at a Rotary Club luncheon. This afternoon their Excellencies , were tendered an official farewell, a j guard of honour being furnished by j local companies of the first battalion . of the Wellington-West Coast Regiment. \ Afterwards their Excellencies left for New Plymouth.
