YOUTH DROWNED.
. PIAKO RIVER FATALITY. A youth named "Douglar. France, aged 17, was drowned in the Piako River, near Tahuna, at about noon yesterday. The Morrinsville police recovered the body, and an inquest was opened at Morrinsville to-day. Deceased was once an inmate of the Takapuna Orphanage. Certain papers found on the body indicated that he had a sister named Grace France, residing in the Epsom district, but, so far, she has not been traced. The Auckland police would be pleased if the sister, or j anyone knowing her whereabouts, would j communicate with them.
