KAURI GUM INDUSTRY.
SUPPORT FOR CONTROL BOARD. „ (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DARGAVTLLE, this day.* Mr. T. C. Webb, president of the Kai para Chamber of Commerce, convened a meeting, which was held on Saturday last for all interested in the kauri gum industry-. There was an attendance of 40, and Mr. Webb presided. A resolution was passed unanimously: "That this meeting of persons in Northern Wairoa district interested in kauri gum production confirm the desirability of the Government establishing complete control of the gum industry by establishing a control board on lines indicated by Colonel A. 8e11. ,, Messrs. J. Totich and J. H. McCarroll were appointed delegates to attend the conference to be held in Auckland shortly. It was decided to levy 2/0 each on all producers to pay the expenses of the delegates, etc. )
